Instrument Systems offers two separate measurement technologies for characterizing the optical parameters of displays like luminance, chromaticity values and contrast ratio:

• Systems for Display Tests based on a combination of spectrometer and imaging optics. These systems measure a single spot on the display and characteristically result in very high measurement accuracy.
• Imaging Photometers and Colorimeters can alternatively capture the entire display in a single measurement, although with specific compromises in the measurement accuracy.

Both technologies can be used with the 5-axis positioning test system DTS500 in order to automate measurement of both homogeneity and angle-dependent optical properties as according to the VESA Standard.

Special high-end variants of the display test systems DTS140 and DTS320 series of spectroradiometers additionally allow testing of NVIS compatible displays and panel graphics according to MIL-L-85762A and MIL-STD-3009, respectively.
